The Uni-Film-Club is the student-run university cinema of TU Dortmund. Film-loving students founded it in the winter semester of 1971/1972 and, with support from the AStA, put on the first regular screenings. It plays in Hörsaal 1 of the building at Emil-Figge-Straße 50 on Campus Nord, every Wednesday during the lecture period and occasionally on Mondays, at 8:15 pm. Some films run in the original language, with or without subtitles. Since the summer semester of 2014 the club has projected digitally with a Sony SRX-R515P in 4K, and since the winter semester of 2017/2018 the hall's sound system has played 5.1 audio. Two Bauer P8 T400 projectors still show 16 mm prints. A ticket costs 3 euros, plus a club card for 1 euro that is valid for a year. A five-film card costs 12 euros.
