Subiaco Kino im Kloster

The Kino im Kloster is at Klosterplatz 2 in Alpirsbach, in the heritage-protected former dining hall of the abbot in the more than 900-year-old Kloster Alpirsbach. It opened on 10 April 1997 and is the original house of the Subiaco cinemas, which also run the cinemas in Freudenstadt and Schramberg. The hall seats 70 and has a 16 m² screen. It shows German-language prints and original versions with subtitles (OmU). Some screenings take place in the Subiaco Galerie, an 18-seat studio cinema in the gallery of the Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu at Ambrosius-Blarer-Platz 1. The Subiaco Open-Air traditionally takes place every August in the monastery's cloister garden.
