The Schauburg is the fourth screen of Kino Neuwied, which the Filmtheaterbetrieb Weiler GmbH runs together with the three screens of the Metropol. The house calls it the oldest cinema on the Middle Rhine, and its screen measures 101 square metres. Projection is digital, with Dolby Digital sound and the DepthQ 3D system. Every Wednesday evening it hosts Minski (Mittwochs ins Kino), an art-house series founded in 1957 by Eberhard Malzi and Klaus-Dieter Weiler. The series is run by the town's youth office and the Volkshochschule Neuwied, and a ticket costs 7 euros.
