The Filmtheater Schauburg sits on Marienstraße in Karlsruhe's Südstadt and runs three screens: the Schauburg Saal with 352 seats, the Cinema Saal with 150 and the Bambi Saal with 61. Alongside current releases it shows restored classics and thematic series. The house keeps analogue projection working and screens older titles from 35mm and 70mm, the way they looked at their first run. The language version is given per screening: original-language films are marked OmU for German subtitles or OV, and the dubbed and subtitled prints of a film are carried as separate entries with their own showtimes.
