The cinema belongs to the saalgärten socio-cultural centre in Rudolstadt, which is run by the town of Rudolstadt. The centre was built out of a former factory building and opened in May 1999 after several years of conversion. The same building also hosts concerts and theatre. Evening screenings start at 8 pm and cost 6 euros.
