s'Kino im Jakobmayer

The s'Kino im Jakobmayer has one hall with 50 seats on the Unterer Marktplatz in Dorfen. It was built during the renovation of the historic Jakobmayer house and opened on 11 November 2011. It is owned by the town of Dorfen. The hall is air-conditioned, has Dolby Digital sound and can be converted for 3D. Two seats in the front row can be removed to make room for wheelchairs. On Monday, cinema day, a flat price of €7 applies. In the 2026/27 season the house shows eight live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Some foreign-language films run on one announced day in the original with German subtitles.
