Hildegard-Knef-Platz 1, 21227 Bendestorf
The Produzentenkino is the centrepiece of the Filmmuseum Bendestorf, housed in the former studio building of the Bendestorf film studios. The auditorium dates from the 1950s and is largely in its original state. When feature films were shot in Bendestorf, the previous day's footage, developed in Göttingen, was reviewed here. For the screening of the scandalous scene from "Die Sünderin" with Hildegard Knef, 200 staff crowded into the hall. From the 1980s until recently the Vox Klangstudio used it as a recording room. Today the Freundeskreis Filmmuseum Bendestorf e.V. shows films here, usually on Wednesdays at 7 pm or Sundays at 3 pm. Projection is digital in 2K with Dolby 7.1 sound on a 25 square metre screen, and some films run as 35mm prints on a Kinoton FP30. Tickets cost 10 euros, children up to 12 pay 5 euros. Reserved tickets are held at the box office.
