Kulturzentrum Moritzhof

The Kulturzentrum Moritzhof sits in a four-sided farmyard of 1844 in Magdeburg's Neue Neustadt, restored by the city between 2004 and 2006. It is run by ARTist! e.V., founded in 2000 by cinema and culture enthusiasts. Films play in three rooms: the Scheune, which holds up to 200 guests, the Stall with 50 seats, and the Kino unterm Dach with 31 seats and no step-free access. The programme leans on European cinema and socially engaged subjects, regularly with a filmmaker or an expert for the discussion afterwards. About one screening in ten runs in the original with German subtitles. Tickets are 8.00 euros, 6.00 reduced, 5.00 on Tuesdays.
