Kino mon ami

The mon ami is Weimar's Kommunales Kino, on the Goetheplatz at number 11. It is run by the Jugend-, Kultur- und Bildungszentrum Volkshochschule / mon ami, a municipal enterprise of the city. Subtitled originals are marked OmU in the programme. There are also strands such as Queer Cinema and Fairfilmt, often with a talk after the film, a holiday cinema for children, and school screenings on request. The Kinematheksverbund has given the house its cinema award twelve times (most recently in 2017), and the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung every year from 2020 to 2025. A ticket costs €7, or €5 reduced.
