The Luna Filmtheater is on Eisenbahnstraße in Metzingen, a few metres from the railway station. The Stadtjugendring Bad Urach e.V., which also runs the forum22 in Bad Urach, took over the long-empty cinema and reopened it in 2004. The programme mixes arthouse with commercial releases, alongside film series, cabaret and panel discussions. It has projected in 4K with 7.1 sound since 2013. Since January 2016 the house has belonged to the Europa Cinemas network. Once a month it runs the Kinderkino children's screenings together with the adult education centres (Volkshochschulen) of Metzingen and Bad Urach-Münsingen. In summer the Luna holds an open-air cinema on the Bauhofgelände.
