Lichtspiele Mössingen

The Lichtspiele Mössingen at Höfgasse 12 opened on 12 December 1952 with the film "Die Martinsklause". Architect Keller planned and built the cinema together with the Schlegel family, who still run it. The house survives almost in its original state, and in 1958 it switched to CinemaScope without any structural changes. Seats are split into Loge (€7.50) and Sperrsitz (€7.00). Children pay €4.00 in the afternoon, and on Fridays every seat costs €7.00. Since September 1991 the Protestant and Catholic parishes have run the "Kino und Kirche" series here, usually on the last Friday of the month at 20:15.
