Lichtburg Quernheim

The Lichtburg calls Quernheim Germany's smallest cinema town. Screen 1 has 180 seats and projects digitally, including 3D, and Screen 2 has 87 seats. It has a golden curtain, columns and a real cinema gong that is 60 years old. In the park behind the building an open-air cinema with 200 seats runs when the weather allows, still projected from analogue film reels. The cinema has its own pub with Barre Pils on tap, jukeboxes and a table football from 1969. There is a matinee on Sundays at 11 am, and on some Mondays at 7 pm the Film & Kirche series, with admission at 7 euros. The operator is Karl-Heinz Meier, and the house shares its website with the Elite in Espelkamp.
