LichtBlick Inselkino Amrum

The LichtBlick Inselkino sits in the middle of Norddorf, about 100 metres from the bus stop, looking onto the village square. Its two air-conditioned halls hold 159 guests between them, Kino 1 with 102 seats and Kino 2 with 57. Some seats are double armchairs for couples. The digital projection also shows 3D films. The programme is updated weekly and runs from blockbusters and family films to selected arthouse titles. Cinema head Ralf Thomsen came up with the idea for "Luv & Lee", a portrait of Amrum filmed on the island over more than three years. On director Constantin Löhrmann's next film, "Nordlicht", about the Schleswig-Holstein coast, he was producer and distributor. The operator is LichtBlick FTB GmbH of Heide, which also runs the cinemas in Heide and Büsum. The house opens half an hour before the first screening.
