Pfarrgasse 49, 66386 St. Ingbert
The Kinowerkstatt St. Ingbert at Pfarrgasse 49 is a communal cinema and describes itself as a non-commercial venue. It began in 1976 with a film festival at the Jugendzentrum St. Ingbert, which then hosted regular screenings. In May 2007 friends of the cinema founded the association Kinowerkstatt St. Ingbert e.V., which runs it today. The Kinowerkstatt is a member of the Bundesverband kommunale Filmarbeit. The programme mixes current releases with films that matter to film history. Screenings start 15 minutes after the listed time, except on Sundays at 16:00 and at the seniors' and children's screenings. The house has won the Kinopreis des Kinematheksverbundes.
