Seestraße 3, 18546 Sassnitz
The Lichtspiele Sassnitz club has shown films in the Grundtvighaus, the multi-generation house at Seestraße 3, since 1 September 2000. The first film was "Jenseits der Stille". Screenings are on Fridays at 20:00. Admission is 7 euros, seats are not reserved, and the club opens an hour before the film with soup, wine and snacks. It chooses its films together with the Filmclub Güstrow's project "Dorfkino einfach machbar". Some screenings bring filmmakers in for a talk. A few films also run at the Cliff Hotel in Sellin and at the LebensGut Frankenthal. For five years in a row the club was among the winners of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Kinokulturpreis in the category for non-commercial venues.
