Kino Latücht

Kino Latücht is the community cinema of the association Latücht - Film & Medien e.V., housed in the former Catholic church of St. Josef. The church was consecrated in 1907 and is the only neo-Romanesque building in Neubrandenburg. The association has run a cinema in the converted building since 1996, and the name comes from the Low German word for lantern. It was founded in 1991 as Kommunales Kino e.V. A year later it launched the documentary festival dokumentART, which takes place at the Latücht every year. Shows usually start at 7:30 pm. A ticket costs 8.50 euros, or 6.50 euros reduced, a little more for films of 110 minutes or longer. Reservations are taken Monday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm by phone, by email or in person.
