The Gloria on the Ständeplatz opened in 1954 and is part of the Kasseler Arthousekinos. Its hall seats 342 and keeps its 1950s character: green velvet on the seats, walls and curtain, and the original chandelier from that decade. It has been run by BALi GmbH since 1 April 2001. Projection has been digital since 2012, alongside 35mm in four aspect ratios. Foreign-language films play in a German version or in the original with subtitles, and the version is marked on each screening.
