CinéMayence

CinéMayence is the Kommunales Kino (municipal cinema) of Mainz. It sits on the first floor of the baroque Schönborner Hof on Schillerplatz as a guest of the Institut français, hence the French name (Mayence is French for Mainz). It has 85 seats and is not step-free. It is run by the AG Stadtkino e.V., which has worked for a Kommunales Kino in Mainz since 1985. Most films play for only one to seven days, almost always in the original with German subtitles. Regular admission is 6.50 euros, reduced 5.50 euros, and children pay 2.50 euros. Payment is cash only. Seats are reserved through an online form at cinemayence.online, and the box office opens 30 minutes before the start.
