Cine k

The Cine k is the arthouse cinema in the Kulturetage at Bahnhofstraße 11, right by Oldenburg's main station. It has two screens: the Muvi with 41 seats and a 4 metre screen, and the Studio with 80 seats and a 7 metre screen. In summer the cinema plays in the open air on the Kulturplatz behind the Kulturetage, with 150 seats and sound over headphones. Many films run in the original with subtitles, alongside short films, documentaries, classics and the yearly Queer Film Festival. The Medienbüro Oldenburg rented a screen in the Kulturetage in 2002. Since January 2013 the Cine k GbR of Marion Fittje and Wolfgang Bruch has run the cinema, and nordmedia awarded its annual programme every year from 2006 to 2025.
