Casablanca Programmkino

The Casablanca opened on the Pferdemarkt on 11 December 1981 as Oldenburg's first Programmkino. A small cinema was added beside the large hall in 1984, so films could run longer and special strands had room. A rebuild in 1996 gave the house three halls, and the Kinolounge followed as the fourth in December 2011. Kino 1 seats 185, Kino 2 seats 114, the Salon 55 and the Kinolounge 27. All halls are air-conditioned. The programme is mostly European arthouse, with strands such as Psychoanalyse & Film and Architektur & Film. In summer the bistro's roof terrace is open.
