The Amper-Lichtspiele were founded in 1921 by the Amper family, who still own them. Max Amper runs the cinema in the fourth generation. Screen 1 has 153 seats and a 10.50-metre-wide screen, with a Christie CP4420 4K laser projector since 2024 and Dolby Atmos sound since 2025. The second screen was added in 2016: 98 seats, Sony 4K projection with 3D and Dolby Digital 7.1 sound. An evening 2D screening costs 9.50 to 10 euros.
