The open-air arm of Kino Central, set up each summer in the back courtyard of Haus Schwarzenberg at Rosenthaler Straße 39, a few steps from Hackescher Markt. The house is the unrestored corner of the block, a listed tenement that Schwarzenberg e.V. pulled back from decay from the mid-1990s and bought at auction in 2005. Its passageways and yards are layered in street art, and the neurotitan gallery, the Monsterkabinett and the Eschschloraque bar are neighbours. The bar handles the drinks. Screenings run Sunday to Wednesday at dusk, from late May to mid-September, from ordinary chairs and from small tables set right in front of the screen. The programme is modern classics and current arthouse, and every film is in English or carries English subtitles: of the screenings we currently list, all but one are undubbed.
