The Rex Filmpalast in Pforzheim has welcomed audiences since 1953, operated by the Geiger family across three generations. Pforzheim, known as the gold city for its centuries-old jewellery and watchmaking industries, sits at the northern gateway to the Black Forest, where the Nagold, Enz, and Wuerm rivers converge. The city was almost entirely destroyed by a single devastating Allied air raid in February 1945, making its post-war cultural institutions particularly significant.
