Sinema Transtopia

Sinema Transtopia is not a cinema in the traditional sense but a curatorial project that uses film as a lens for examining migration, diaspora and transcultural experience. Housed at Lindower Strasse in Mitte, its screenings are conceived as events -- accompanied by conversations, readings and artistic interventions that place each film within a broader discourse on movement and belonging. The programme draws on cinema from across the globe, often surfacing work by filmmakers whose perspectives are shaped by displacement or cultural hybridity. In a city where questions of identity, origin and home are lived daily by a large and diverse population, Sinema Transtopia provides a space where those questions are explored with aesthetic rigour and intellectual honesty.
