Pollux by Cineplex in Paderborn carries nearly a century of family cinema tradition: the Esch-Renneke family has operated cinemas here since Johannes Renneke Senior founded the business in 1928. Opened as Cineplex Paderborn in 1999 and relaunched as Pollux in 2016 after a comprehensive renovation that halved the seat count in favour of premium recliners, it was among the first German cinemas to embrace the boutique multiplex concept. The city itself, home to the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum -- the world's largest computer museum -- blends medieval cathedral architecture with technological forward-thinking. Pollux, with its nine screens and pioneering premium formats, embodies that same marriage of heritage and innovation.
