Dammtordamm 1, 20354 Hamburg
The CinemaxX flagship on Dammtordamm is Hamburg's grandest multiplex, a twenty-nine-screen house whose principal auditorium seats over a thousand visitors before a 264-square-metre screen. It stands at the edge of Planten un Blomen park, near the Dammtor station and the old Botanical Garden, in a part of the city where civic grandeur and green space converge. Hall 1 is equipped with MaxXimum Sound, MaxXimum 3D, HFR, and 4K projection, and regularly hosts premieres during the Hamburg Film Festival. All twenty-nine auditoriums run fully digital 4K projection, and electric recliner seats have been introduced across several halls. The sheer scale of the operation -- the largest in northern Germany -- makes it a destination rather than a convenience, drawing audiences from across the metropolitan region.
